(CNN) –– Eminem will take on a new role in his life: he will be a grandfather.
The rapper advertisement that his daughter Hailie Jade, 28, is expecting her first child. He announced this Thursday through a new music video for his song “Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey.
At one point in the video, Jade, a music artist and podcaster, gives her father a blue t-shirt that says “Grandpa” on the back.
A stunned Eminem holds up a photo of a sonogram while Jade smiles and laughs at her father’s reaction to the news.
The music video shows a montage of home videos from Jade and Eminem’s childhood, interspersed with footage from her recent wedding to husband Evan McClintock.
Eminem dedicated the song to Jade and raps lyrics that deal with the cycle of life: “So Hailie Jade, I wrote this song to help you get through life when I’m gone.”
Jade and McClintock have been together since 2016. They announced their engagement in February 2023 and they married in May.
“Waking up as a wife this week,” wrote Jade on her Instagram page at the time. “We couldn’t have asked for a better, more beautiful weekend celebration. So many happy tears were shed, laughter and smiles were had, and so much love was felt.”
This is the first child for Jade and McClintock.
