A flight by the Air India Express emerged an emotional and amazing moment when a female passenger gave birth to a child in a flight coming from Muscat to Mumbai. The incident became extremely special for the passengers and crew members present in the flight, as the baby was born in the air, at an altitude of 30,000 feet.
As soon as a female passenger from Thailand began to suffer childbirth, the cabin crew immediately handled the situation according to her training. A nurse present on the flight also assisted the woman. Working in a professional manner, the crew not only ensured a safe environment, but also gave emotional support to the woman. The child and mother born inside the flight could get immediate care.
Ensure primary landing by alerting ATC
The pilots immediately informed the air traffic control and sought permission for primary landing at Mumbai Airport. As soon as the aircraft landed, the already deployed medical team and ambulance admitted the mother and the newborn to a nearby hospital. A female employee of the airline went with them to get all possible help.

The Air India Express reported that it is in touch with the Consulate General of Thailand in Mumbai to make the process of sending the woman back to the country. The flight was commanded by Captain Ashish Vaghani and Captain Faraj Ahmed, while cabin crew members Sneha Naga, Aishwarya Shirke, Asiya Khalid and Muskan Chauhan showed amazing restraint and service.
