Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings begin

New members were sworn in in the Rajya Sabha when proceedings started on Friday. However, due to slogans and noise, the proceedings were disrupted and the proceedings of both houses had to be postponed. Deputy Chairman Harivansh adjourned the Rajya Sabha proceedings till 12 noon, while speaker Om Birla adjourned the Lok Sabha proceedings till 2 pm.
