In the meeting of the Rajya Sabha trade advisory committee (BAC), the opposition on Wednesday demanded a discussion on Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. The opposition said that the issue should be discussed for 16 hours in the Rajya Sabha for two days from next week and the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be ensured. The meeting was held during the monsoon session, in which the leaders of various parties, the Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha, J.K. P. Nadda and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju attended. The meeting was chaired by Harivansh, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
The meeting was proposed on the first Monday, but in the evening the same day it was postponed due to the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. After the meeting, in the Rajya Sabha of the Congress, Deputy Leader Pramod Tiwari said that the opposition demanded in unison that the discussion on Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor should be started from next week. He said that there should be a discussion in the Rajya Sabha a day after the start of discussion in the Lok Sabha.
Discussion on Operation Sindoor on 28 July, PM will be present
At the same time, information has now been revealed that discussion will start in Lok Sabha on Operation Sindoor from July 28. It will be discussed for 16 hours in the House. According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present during the discussion on Operation Sindoor. Whereas, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will reply to this.

Pramod Tiwari said that this should be a general debate, no proposal should be brought. He said that the opposition demanded the presence of the Prime Minister and the government has assured that the Prime Minister will be present. He said, I hope the Prime Minister will be present during the discussion on Operation Sindoor. Significantly, there is a continuous uproar over the Pahalgam attack in both the houses of Parliament, the special intensive review of the voter list in Bihar and other issues, due to which the proceedings are being postponed repeatedly.
