Nitish is out of the entire series, while Arshdeep will not be able to play in the fourth match.
Win needs to save the series
England won the first match of the series played in Leeds, while India won the second Test match to make the series 1–1. India dominated the third Test match played at Lord’s, but could not achieve the fifth easy target. Due to this defeat, India lagged behind in the series. Now he has to win the fourth match to stay in the series. This match is quite important for India, but the players’ injuries have increased their difficulties significantly.
Pant is looking fit
The biggest concern for India is Akash Deep and Rishabh Pant. Both these players are suffering from injury. There is also a discussion that Pant takes off as a full -time batsman in the fourth Test and replaced him as Dhruv Jurlel wicketkeeper. But before the match, looking at India’s practice session, it seems that Rishabh Pant has completely recovered from his finger injury and will fulfill his double responsibility as usual. On the other hand, the play of the sky is also suspected due to injury.
Will Kamboj Debu or Krishna get a chance?
The new fast bowler Anshul Kamboj and the famous Krishna are also contenders to make it to the playing XI. If the sky is not fully recovered from the lamp back injury, then any of these can take their place. Like Akash Deep, combos can also create good seam movements. He was also part of India A’s England tour and thus aware of the circumstances here. However, the team management will move forward on this option only when the sky is not available for selection. Akash bowled in the practice session before the match, but he did not appear satisfied. Even Physio had asked not to bowl him.
Bumrah’s playing is almost fixed
It is a matter of relief for India amidst the injuries of the players that experienced fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is almost certain to play in the fourth Test. This was confirmed by Mohammad Siraj himself on Monday. India can also land with three experts fast bowlers in the fourth Test which will include one of the Akash, famous and Kamboj besides Bumrah and Siraj. Writer spinner Kuldeep Yadav is also a contender to make a place in this match, but it will have to be seen whether the team management with Washington and Ravindra Jadeja will take Kuldeep.
