The Indian team is gearing up for the fourth Test match against England in Manchester from Wednesday. While India will land in this match with the intention of equal, the problems for the players have increased due to injury. Prior to the Manchester Test, all-rounder Nitish Reddy, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep have been injured, making the challenge of playing-11 difficult for India.
Akash shone in second match
Akash Deep had gone to play in the second match of this series and at that time he was given a chance in Playing-11 in place of Jasprit Bumrah. Akash had performed brilliantly and contributed significantly to India’s victory. For this reason, despite playing in Bumrah’s third Test, Akash was successful in retaining the place in the playing-11 and the famous Krishna was excluded in the Lord’s Test. The situation about Bumrah is already clear that he will play in three matches of the series. In such a situation, Bumrah is almost certain to play in Manchester, given the problem of injury to the players. This has also been confirmed by Mohammad Siraj himself.
Will Kamboj debut?
Now the question arises that if Akash Deep cannot fit before the match, then who can be included in the playing-11 in his place. Akash bowled some in the practice session before the match, but he did not look satisfied with it. The famous and Anshul Kamboj is the contestant of making a place in the XI in place of the sky. Famous and Kamboj bowled with full force in the practice session, but Physio did not allow Akash to bowl in the net session. He had evaluated his fitness at the main ground under the supervision of coach Morne Morkel. However, he remained the audience during the net session after this where Arshdeep Singh was standing out of the match due to a hand injury.
If Akash is declared unfit, the team will have to choose one of the Krishna or Anshul Kamboj, famous for the third fast bowler with Jaspreet Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj. Kamboj has joined the team as an alternative to the injured Arshdeep, which has increased the possibility of their unexpected debut. Kamboj also performed batting practice with Shardul Thakur after bowling.
Pant looked comfortable in practice session
Shardul may find a place of Nitish Kumar Reddy in XI. During the net session, Siraj bowled the most against batsmen like Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, while Bumrah practiced bowling on the main ground due to a slippery situation at the net session. In the practice session, Pant easily practiced batting and wicketkeeping and looked fit for the fourth Test. During this, Yashasvi Jaiswal paid more attention to the fielding practice of slip catch after batting.
