Himachal Pradesh received heavy rainfall between red alert on Monday. A cloudburst in Nara of Churah in Chamba fell from the hill in Mahla to the rock house, killing the newly married couple sleeping inside. Due to bad weather, schools had to be closed in some sub -divisions of three districts.

Due to heavy rains, the western Himalayan states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have once again caused havoc. Four people have died in different incidents due to rain. More than 400 roads, including three national highways, were closed and thousands of people got caught in the middle journey. Schools have been holidayed due to the ongoing alert on heavy rains in Himachal.
