The Bombay High Court acquitted 12 people found guilty of the lower court in the 2006 Mumbai train bomb blasts case. A bench of two judges reprimanded the prosecution and questioned the process of the identity parade. With this, the court acquitted each convict and ordered to be released on a private bond of 25 thousand rupees.

Significantly, 187 people died in the 2006 Mumbai train blast, while more than 800 people were injured. Now after the Bombay High Court’s decision, no one was responsible for these blasts. The lower court sentenced five of the 12 convicts to death and seven to life imprisonment. A person was acquitted in the case.
