Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray. For this, he mentioned the Roman Emperor Nero and a popular legend related to him. He said that when Rome was burning, Nero was playing the flute.
Shinde addressed a program organized to honor medical entrepreneurs in Thane. During this, he also questioned the criticism of the Election Commission after the opposition lost elections. He said that when some people get defeat, they start questioning the Election Commission, but when they win, they praise him.

Instead of introspection, some leaders are engaged in allegations and counter-allegations
Shinde said without naming Uddhav, ‘It is strange that some people are celebrating on leaving their party (Shiv Sena-UBT). We have never seen this kind of behavior before. ‘When Rome was burning, Nero was playing the flute.’ He said that instead of introspecting, some leaders are just accused and cursing others.
Shinde put light on the achievements of Mahayuti government
Shinde highlighted the achievements of the Mahayuti government, especially for women. He said, ‘We have made historical plans for 2.5 crore sisters. Many people tried to gain power and booked five -star hotels and ministry already. But the public, especially our sisters, shattered their dreams and brought Mahayuti to power again. He further said that he recognizes himself as a party worker who is available 24 hours.

Shinde also appreciated the role of doctors
The Deputy Chief Minister also appreciated the role of doctors in the society during a crisis like Kovid-19 epidemic. Referring to the attacks on doctors, Shinde said that medical fraternity is the basis of society and deserves deep respect. He further said, ‘Sometimes unfortunate incidents happen and despite the best efforts of doctors, life cannot be saved. At such a time, society should work responsibly instead of targeting medical professionals.
