Mea: In its weekly press conference, the Ministry of External Affairs has updated in the case of Indian nurse Nimisha Priya facing the death sentence in Yemen. Along with this, Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal has also reacted to the statement of NATO chief on Russian oil buying countries.

On the Indian nurse Nimisha Priya case facing the death penalty in Yemen, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the Government of India is making every effort to help Nimisha Priya. He said, ‘We have provided legal help and have also appointed a lawyer to help his family. We are in touch with the local authorities and their family so that a solution can be found in the matter.

He further said that in the last few days it has been tried to get more time to the victim’s family so that they can create a mutual consent with the other party. The Government of India is constantly keeping an eye on this matter and will continue to provide all possible help further. Apart from this, the government is also in touch with some friend countries in this subject.
