The International Moto GP Race will not take place at Buddha International Circuit in Greater Noida this year. UP was the first state in the country to organize this race two years ago. Last year, an agreement was signed for three years 2025, 2026 and 2027 with Dorna Sports. But this year has been canceled due to non -arrival of corporate Social Response (CSR) fund for the race organizing.

Explain that the race was to be organized jointly by Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority. For this, in July last year, there was a contract between Doorna Sports SL and Invest UP in Lucknow. The event was estimated to cost around Rs 150 crore. This included payment of license fee of Rs 80 crore to Doorna Sports.

It was proposed to raise the expenses of organizing through sponsorship from state companies. It was agreed to open an Escro account in this item. In this, Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority were to deposit Rs 12.5-12.5 crore. A committee was also formed for a grand event.

According to the official sources of the government, it was decided that Rs 100 crore will be raised from CSR funds, but the event has gone into cold storage due to the absence of CSR.

More than one and a half lakh people took part in this event. More than 10 thousand spectators came from abroad. Popularity can be gauged from the fact that one of its tickets was sold up to Rs 1.80 lakh.
