Two western disturbances are active in North-West India, Bihar, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand and have also been formed. Due to the effects of these meteorological systems, it is raining across the country, which is likely to continue for the next few days.

The southwest monsoon is active across the country and due to its effects, it is raining heavily. On Wednesday, there was torrential rains from western Himalayan states including Uttarakhand to Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat to Odisha and Kashmir to Kerala. In the national capital, there were shower and due to bad weather, five flights from Indira Gandhi International Airport had to be diverted to Jaipur and Amritsar. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the next two days in Eastern and adjoining central India and 6-7 days in South India.
