Indian Army Carried out Successful Trials of Indigenously developed Akash Prime Air Defense System – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

The Indian Army successfully tested the Akash Prime Air Defense System on Wednesday. The test was conducted at an altitude of more than 15,000 feet in the Ladakh region. The testing was conducted by the Army in the presence of senior officials of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), who have developed this system.

During the test, the surface -to -air missiles hit the target aircraft flying at a very fast speed. This test was done in a very high altitude area. The Akash Prime system will now be part of the Indian Army’s third and fourth units (regiments). This means that now this new system will be included in the army and two troops to protect the enemy’s air strikes and better.

Officials said the indigenously developed sky-to-air missile system has proved to be very helpful in preventing several drone attacks on the Western border by Pakistan and the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
