The Punjab government has made a provision of life imprisonment to the guilty of disgrace in the bill. The guilty will not get parole. The bill will be discussed in the Punjab Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.

The Maan Sarkar approved the Crime Prevention Bill-2025 against sacred texts in Punjab at a cabinet meeting on Monday to enact a law on disrespect. After this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann also introduced the bill in the special session of the Punjab Assembly. This bill will be discussed on Tuesday.
