The weather patterns suddenly changed in the capital Delhi on Sunday morning. In some areas of the capital, it started raining heavily. In some areas including Feroz Shah Road, the weather has become pleasant due to the rains and people have got relief from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, next week too, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Delhi and surrounding areas. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32–34 degrees till 17 July.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of intermittent rain for the next few days due to monsoon activity in Delhi. While rainy scenes on Feroz Shah Road in the morning presented relief pictures for some people, waterlogging in the low -lying areas raised questions on the preparations for the local administration. Local residents complained that due to lack of drainage system, roads become ponds in every rain.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has claimed to deploy teams to deal with the problem of water logging. The traffic police has advised people to take precautions in areas affected and use alternative routes. The temperature has decreased due to rain, but Delhiites have demanded the administration to repair the drainage system.
