Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the four people nominated to the Rajya Sabha on behalf of President Draupadi Murmu. It includes former Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, Kerala BJP leader C Sadanandan Mun and historian Meenakshi Jain in the case of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
Explain that according to a notification issued by the Union Home Ministry on Saturday night, President Murmu has nominated four people for the Rajya Sabha under the powers given to him by section (3) of Article 80 (1) (a) of the Constitution. These include government lawyer Ujjwal Devrao Nikam, Kerala’s senior social activist and educationist C. Sadanandan Mind, former India Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla and eminent historian and educationist Meenakshi Jain. These nominations have been in view of vacant seats due to retirement of the nominated members in the past.

What should PM Modi say about Ujjwal Nikam
Prime Minister Modi posted on the social media platform X and said that Ujjwal Nikam’s dedication to the legislative region and the Constitution is commendable. He has not only been a successful lawyer, but has also been a leader for the attainment of justice in important matters. His nomination is an honor for his outstanding work in Rajya Sabha.
Harshvardhan Shringla told the best trustee
On the other hand, PM Modi, while nominating former Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla in Rajya Sabha, described the best trustees. PM Modi appreciated Shringal and said that he is a superior diplomatic and strategic thinker. His contribution to India’s foreign policy has brought India to new heights. His nomination will further enrich India’s foreign policy approach in Rajya Sabha.
