India Test FIRES Astra Beyond Visual Missile – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

India successfully tested an air-to-air missile called ‘Astra’ from Odisha coast on Friday. The missile ‘Beyond Visual Range’ is capable of penetrating the goals outside the viewing limit and was tested with Sukhoi-30 MK-1 fighter aircraft.

The Ministry of Defense said that the test was jointly conducted by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Indian Air Force (IAF). The missile range is more than 100 km and has a state -of -the -art guided and navigation system.

During the test, two missiles were left in different distances, target direction and different circumstances and both times they destroyed their targets with absolutely accuracy. The ministry said that the radio frequency Sikar in the missile is also completely indigenous and has been designed and developed by DRDO. During the test, all sub-sanctuaries performed as expected.

All figures were recorded during the flight from equipment installed in the integrated test range in Chandipur, which proved that the weapon missile system is completely accurate and reliable. In addition to several DRDO laboratories, more than 50 public and private companies including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) contributed to the development of this weapon system.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh appreciated DRDO, Air Force and all partners in developing indigenous radio frequency Sikar engaged in the missile system. He said that this test is a major milestone in the field of indigenous defense technology.
