In the episode of “Mangal Lakshmi” aired on July 27, 2024, the story unfolds with Lipika asking Mangal if she knows why Adit is giving her a gift. Sowmya interrupts, asking Lipika if she has chosen what she wants and offers to pay for her. Mangal is confused and asks Sowmya why she is paying. Sowmya explains that Adit instructed her to cover the bill for Lipika. Sowmya then pays the bill for Lipika and sneakily slips one earring into Mangal’s bag.
Sowmya suggests to Mangal that they should leave since the bill is already paid. As Sowmya, Mangal, Akshat, and Lipika prepare to leave the jewelry store, Sowmya trips and falls over Mangal near the security check. The security alarm goes off, prompting the guards to check both Sowmya and Mangal’s bags. They find the earring in Mangal’s bag, and Sowmya accuses Mangal of stealing it. Mangal denies the accusation, insisting she didn’t steal anything.
The security shows the earring they found in Sowmya’s bag, preparing to call the police. Sowmya claims she didn’t steal the earring. Akshat steps in, telling Adit that the earring belongs to Sowmya and not the store. He explains that he saw Sowmya accidentally put the earring in Mangal’s bag and then retrieved it, placing it in her own bag. Hearing this, Mangal defends Sowmya, saying her son made a mistake and that Sowmya didn’t steal anything. Mangal asks Sowmya to apologize to the store to resolve the matter. Sowmya makes Akshat apologize to her first before apologizing to the jewelry store. After this, Adit and everyone else leave.
Back at home, Kusum performs a ritual to ward off the evil eye from Adit. Mangal asks Adit if he will wear a particular dress tomorrow, to which he agrees. Kusum then asks Adit to choose a saree for Mangal for the Pooja, and he selects one. Later, Lakshmi calls Mangal, complaining that she has too many sarees and doesn’t know which one to choose. Lakshmi asks Mangal what she picked, and Mangal tells her that Adit chose a saree for her. Lakshmi teases Mangal about this before ending the call when she sees Gayatri approaching. Gayatri ignores Lakshmi and walks away.
Akshat compliments Mangal, telling her she looks great. Kusum asks Adit how Mangal looks, and though he dreams of confessing his true feelings about Mangal to Kusum, he simply says she looks great and leaves.
