Chachaji, who had been taken away by a witch-like figure, sat in the house like a statue, his fear evident. However, his senior dismissed him, saying that without solid proof, a search warrant couldn’t be issued. He warned Abhimanyu that if he tried to go to the khandar without permission, he would face suspension. Frustrated but determined, Abhimanyu turned to Machhar Singh, instructing him to get the postmortem report. Abhimanyu was sure that the recent murders in the village were the work of a female killer acting on Pablo’s orders. He was more determined than ever to expose the truth and bring the criminals to justice. On the other side, Pablo was growing increasingly anxious. He met with Dashrath, Abhimanyu’s senior, for a drink. Dashrath, trying to calm Pablo down, assured him that he had managed to divert Abhimanyu’s attention from the drug issue. But Pablo, far from reassured, was agitated.
