Does the Awaji claws first bring the story of Shadows to a correct degree?
Most of you will probably still be busy with the basic game of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which you would like to experience a few dozens of hours in the feudal Japan for a few dozens.
So far, those who have seen the end have so far been rather disappointed. Many points remain open and the game feels like something would be missing. This is no coincidence that Dataminer now found out.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows: I would have liked to know that before the start of the game!
Awaji’s claws have always been part of the main story
The Dataminer and Youtuber Sliderv2 Has now discovered indications that the DLC was not a DLC from the start of Awaji. Instead, the content seems to be part of the normal main story and to answer many open questions. At least that’s how it shared Thehiddenoneac After a conversation with Sliderv2 on X.

One of the most important points seems to be that the complete script of the DLC together with the day one patch is already in the game and thus the entire story is already visible. He does not talk about details, but some of the most important open strands should be woven here.
The time pressure is to blame
It would not be the first time that important parts of the story of an Assassin’s Creed game come into play through a DLC. Already Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey was really brought to a satisfactory end with Atlantis, for which players were asked again.
However, this does not seem to be the motivation here. Sliderv2 rather suspects that Ubisoft has tried to avoid further shift of Shadows.
The title was originally planned for November 2024 and had to be postponed twice. March was also the last chance for Ubisoft to publish Shadows in the first quarter of the financial year.
At Ubisoft we asked how far the claims of truth are. However, the publisher did not want to comment on this.
What does that mean for the players?
Awaji’s claws are free for everyone who has pre -ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows. So there are no further costs for you.
However, if you waited, then you will have to buy the DLC separately. How much this costs is not yet known.
Do you find this solution to be good or should Shadows be postponed again?
