Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj has apparently proposed a deal to US President Donald Trump, which should be about future aid payments and long-term security guarantees. According to the Ukrainian Medium Interfax, it should consist of an aid package worth 50 billion euros, which the Ukraine wants to buy the USA in “one or the other form”.
“Give us the package, which includes both air defense and other corresponding instruments, we will pay for it. We will consider this as a security guarantee,” said Selenskyj.
Above all, it is about urgently needed air defense that would have to be delivered, said Selenskyj. On the part of Ukraine, such an agreement would then be regarded as a security guarantee. How any financing of such a package could look like remained open. In the current location in which Ukraine is located, it is almost impossible that Kiev could manage such an amount alone.

According to the authorities, there were at least twelve injuries in Russian drone attacks on Kiev and Mykolajiw. Two women were injured in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev’s military administration said. Houses were also damaged and a fire broke out in a camp. There were ten injuries in the city of Mykolajiw in the south of the country, as regional governor Witali Kim announced. Nine apartment buildings and an administration building were damaged there.
The United States has withdrawn from an important military base near the Ukrainian border. From there, both the military and humanitarian aid has been highly coordinated for Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion. However, the withdrawal of the Americans is the beginning of a large-scale new NATO strategy. Read more about this here.
After the capture of two Chinese in Ukraine, who apparently fought on the Russian side, Kiev tightened the allegations against Beijing. It is not an isolated case, emphasized Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj during his evening video message. “We also have information about other Chinese citizens in the Russian army with names and combat names as well as descriptions of the concrete way of how these soldiers got into the Russian crew contingent.” In a press conference shortly before, Selenskyj had estimated the number of Chinese in the Russian army to at least 155.
Kyiv now has all the information about these 155 people, including the pass data, said Selenskyj. Russia advertise these men via social networks like Tiktok. Beijing knew that. The two Chinese prisoners who are now questioned in Kiev will only release Ukraine in exchange for their own prisoners of war, said Selenskyj.
Russian drones attacked the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on Wednesday evening. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, drone debris triggered a fire in a district. Rescue workers are in use.
Ukraine sets Chinese fighters in the ranks of the Russian army. China denies this. But research indicates a deep involvement of China in the conflict. Read more about this here.
