On Friday evening, the three districts of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, Jhunjhunu, Sikar and Churu, were hit by strong dust storm and blurring. Suddenly the changed weather made life completely disturbed. There was a thick dust in the sky and became dark on the streets.




Thunderstorms on marriage ceremonies


The storm turned water to the preparations for the wedding ceremonies. Tents and decorations installed at a cost of millions of rupees collapsed in a few minutes. Tents were uprooted in many places. Due to which the organizers suffered heavy economic losses.



Traffic blocked by falling trees on roads


Due to strong winds, trees fell on the streets in many places, which disrupted traffic on the streets of the city and villages. Vehicle drivers had to stop vehicles in the paths due to reduced visibility.

Markets and shops also suffered losses

Due to the strong storm, the goods kept outside the shops in the markets flew away. Hoardings and banners of several shops fell.

Damage to crops in rural areas

The most impact of the storm was seen in rural areas. After harvesting, crops like wheat, gram, mustard prepared in the fields flew into a strong storm. Water was lost on the hard work of the farmers. Many farmers were seen covering the scattered crops in the fields by covering caps and clothes.

Electricity supply stalled, village drowned in darkness

Strong winds damaged electric poles and wires in many areas. Electricity supply in many villages of Jhunjhunu, Sikar and Churu districts came to a complete standstill. Electricity department teams are engaged in repair work, but due to heavy damage, restoration can be delayed in many places.
