The Leverkusen chemical company Bayer has contacted the Supreme Court in connection with the weed destroyer glyphosate in connection with the weed destroyer in the USA. Due to different, “contradictory” judgments in different US states, from the company’s point of view, “a review by the Supreme Court of the United States is necessary,” it said as a reason. Specifically, the requested review is about a case from the state of Missouri from 2023.
Bayer, however, hopes for a positive fundamental judgment of the Supreme Court, which could contain the current wave of lawsuits.
