The US government does not rule out attacks on nuclear systems in the nuclear dispute with Iran. Trump opponent Bernie Sanders surprisingly appears at a music festival. All developments in the news blog.

US President Donald Trump once again threatened Iran with drastic consequences because of his nuclear program despite ongoing negotiations-up to a possible attack on Tehran’s nuclear facilities. “You shouldn’t have a nuclear weapon. And you have to hurry because you are pretty close to getting one – but you won’t have any,” said Trump in the White House.

“And if we have to do something very hard, then we do it. And I don’t do it for ourselves. I do it for the world.” When asked by a reporter whether this also includes an attack on Iran’s nuclear systems, the Republican said: “Of course it does.” The US government and other western states as well as Israel want to prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran nuclear weapons from developing. In his first term in 2018, however, Trump had unilaterally released the so -called Viennese nuclear pact, which was supposed to limit Iran’s nuclear program and, in return, cancel sanctions. After that, Tehran no longer adhered to the requirements of the agreement.

Last Saturday, the United States and Iran recorded talks about a possible new nuclear deal with the oman after years of diplomatic silence. The next round of talks is expected to take place on Saturday in Rome. Trump confirmed the targeted date. He would “solve the problem” with Iran, he added – it was “almost a simple” problem.

US President Donald Trump received the head of state of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele. During a joint appearance in the White House, Trump defended the legally controversial deportations of hundreds of migrants to El Salvador on Monday. Bukele said he couldn’t do anything for a Salvadorian deported from the USA who is held in a high -security prison in the Central American country.

The United States has deported more than 250 migrants to El Salvador since Trump’s office, where they are detained in a prison for serious criminals. The US government accuses them of being members of the two Latin American gangs MS-13 and “Tren de Aragua”. The Trump government had both put on the list of foreign “terrorist organizations” in February.

In particular, the deportation of the Salvadorian immigrant Kilmar Ábrego García, who is married to a US citizen, causes a stir. His alleged gang membership is unproven, and he also enjoyed protection in the United States. The Supreme Court of the United States instructed the Trump government to work for its release from the prison in El Salvador and for his return to the USA.
