There has been a major terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists have targeted a group of tourists. So far 26 people have been confirmed in this heinous terrorist attack, including two foreigners and one local citizens. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Srinagar. Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed condolences to India’s President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. President Putin said in his message, “Manyavar Mrs. President, Manyavar Shri Prime Minister, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the tragic consequences of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, who had a victim citizens, including citizens of various countries. There can be no justified interpretation of this heinous crime. We hope that its organizers and criminals should be punished for all the forms of terrorism and once again. I confirm my commitment to increase cooperation in fighting expressions.
Russian Ambassador to India Dennis Alipov said, “The deep condolences to the people of India and the government on the heinous terrorist attack against tourists in Pahalgam. Russia stands completely with India.”
US President Donald Trump said, “There has been a lot of disturbing news from Kashmir. America stands firmly with India against terrorism. We pray for the peace of the souls of those killed and the health of the injured. Prime Minister Modi and the incredible people of India have our full support and deep sympathy. Our sensations are with you!”
US Vice President JD Vance said, “Usha and I express their condolences to the victims of the disastrous terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India. In the last few days, we are overwhelmed by the beauty of this country and its people. Our condolences and prayers are with them, mourning this horrific attack.”
French Ambassador to India Thierry Mathou wrote, “I strongly condemn the brutal attack in Jammu and Kashmir. My condolences are with the victims and their families. France stands in solidarity with India in the fight against terrorism.”
