Bihar News: A surprising case has come to light from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH) in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. A staff nurse posted here not only rested at home by dodging the hospital administration and government system for three consecutive years, but also took advantage of the entire salary and annual increment during this period.
Nurse was on leave since 13 March 2022
Staff Nurse Pratima Kumari who was posted in the Department of Pathology. He applied for ERN Leave on 6 March 2022. After this, he went on leave from 13 March 2022 and never returned to the hospital again. During this time, he submitted applications 37 times for the holidays on different dates, in which three-three weeks holidays were demanded. According to the rules, in a year an employee can get a maximum of 31 days EL, but the statue cheated the rule and collected a salary of about Rs 28 lakh from the hospital on holidays for about three years.
Increment with salary for three years also got
So far, the investigation has also revealed that during this time he also got increment every year. In the years 2022 and 2023, the then Superintendent Dr. Uday Narayan Singh approved the increase. Whereas in 2024, Dr. Rakesh Kumar issued an increase letter, even if he has not inscribed it in the service book of the statue. Later this letter was pasted in the service book.
Investigation of disturbances
Now the JLNMCH administration is investigating this disturbance in depth. The matter clearly exposes administrative negligence and failure of the internal monitoring system. After the matter was exposed, questions are being raised on the medical college management that how much negligence continued to be ignored.
