‘Maidan’ is built for about 100 crores. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and critics, but it failed to draw the audience to theaters. According to entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk, ‘Maidan’ earned just Rs 53 crore in India and proved to be a flop at the box office. At the same time, it earned 71 crores worldwide. The film failed to remove its budget. The ‘Maidan’ directed by Amit Sharma hit the action thriller ‘Badi Mian Chhoti Mian’ directed by Ali Abbas Zafar at the box office. The film of Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Alaya F, Manushi Chillar and Sonakshi Sinha also fell at the box office. ‘Badi Mian Chhoti Mian’ was built for Rs 350 crore and in India it earned only Rs 66 crore.
