The Pixel 10 would benefit from a 11 -megapixel Samsung 3J1 telephoto sensor, already used in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This choice would allow Google to offer an optical zoom even on its basic model, a first in the history of the range.
Nevertheless, to integrate this novelty without increasing the costs, the manufacturer would have opted for sensors already present on more accessible models. The main sensor would thus be a 50 MP Samsung GN8, smaller than that of Pixel 9, and the ultra-large-angle would be composed of a Sony IMX712 sensor of 13 MP.
To add a telephoto lens, Google would have made the choice to “undress” its basic model, with a photo configuration lower than Pixel 9 and closer to that of the Pixel 9a, the entry -level model which will land from April 10. Hoping that the image processing will pass the pill, and offer a result comparable to the current model.
