The renewed Mar-Mallorca Club waits with desire the great party of the classic candle organized every year in the middle of August. The XXX Regatta Illes Balears Clàssics, which will take place in this edition, from August 13 to 17, 2025.
More than 20 vessels have confirmed their presence in the absence of four months for its start and the organization expects to exceed 30 participants.
Among the registered vessels include debutants such as Cariad, a 36 -meter length sailboat built in 1896, or the Malamok classic. The meeting will also feature illustrious returns such as The Lady Anne, Halloween and Manitou, ships that are already part of the living history of this nautical event.
This year the regatta will have four days of competition, a structure that remains after its establishment last year at the request of the shipowners, who value the possibility of enjoying more time of navigation in a privileged environment such as Palma’s bay.
The XXX Regatta Illes Balears Clàssics is part of the main Classical Mediterranean candle circuits: the XV Classic Trophy Mare Nostrum – Classical Sailing Cup, the CIM 2025 circuit, the International Mediterranean Championship and Mediterranean Champions Cup, the latter organized by the Vintage Classic Yacht Club (VCyC).
The categories invited to participate are: classics, time, classic RI, spirit of tradition and large ships. In addition, the event includes a special section called the presence, aimed at period ships and classics more than 50 years old, which will be present at the club as part of the environment of the event, although without participating in the tests.
Consolidated as one of the most prestigious regattas of the Mediterranean, the Illes Balears Clàssics will celebrate in August its thirty -edition with a first level participation and a firm commitment to keep alive the tradition of the classic candle.
