Players will get big platform: Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma said that this is a big platform. I remember the last two sessions, some players played for IPL teams and some of them are now playing for India. I think Mumbai cricket is doing a great job to give a platform to all young players, when the tournament starts, a lot of people will see it, if you show your talent, then next year you can be in a team of IPL and an entry can also be found in the Indian team.
Stand will be held in Rohit’s name at Wankhede Stadium
In view of the achievements of Rohit Sharma at the Wankhede Stadium, it was announced to name a stand after him. Rohit called it a special feeling. He said that when someone starts playing cricket, no one dreams of such things. I still remember the days when I used to stand outside the Wankhede Stadium to see the practice of the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team. I am talking about 2004 or perhaps 2003. We used to complete our under-14, under-16 training in Azad Maidan. I used to cross the railway track with some of my friends to get a glimpse of some of the Ranji Trophy cricketers.
