A sub -inspector, who went to resolve the dispute between two parties in Kot Mohammad Khan village of Tarn Taran in Punjab, was shot dead. Two Punjab Police policemen were injured in this attack and an employee was shot dead. Charanjit Singh, the sub-inspector of Shri Goindwal Sahib police station, came to reconcile with the party on receiving a complaint between two parties. Meanwhile, the accused were shot at him. Two police officers were also injured in people’s attack.
According to information received from sources, there was a dispute between two sides in the village Kot Mohammad Khan under Shri Goindwal Sahib police station for the last few days. The police gave time to both sides after a police complaint was filed. When there was a clash between the two sides again on Wednesday night, an online complaint was lodged with the police.
Attack on police if he stopped from firing
On receiving the complaint of the clash, the village Kot Mohammad Khan along with the police party, Sub-Inspector of Shri Goindwal Sahib police station arrived. Some people started firing while trying to calm the dispute between the two sides. Meanwhile, sub-inspector Charanjit Singh was seriously injured by a bullet. Some policemen were also attacked when the police team tried to stop the attackers from firing. During this time he was injured.
Doctors declared dead in hospital
When the seriously injured sub-inspector Charanjit Singh was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, the doctors declared him dead. On receiving information about the incident late at night, DIG Ferozepur Range SSP Harman Bir Singh Gill also reached the spot. The police is investigating the case. At the same time, the opposition has started surrounding the government regarding this incident. Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia said that the sarpanch of the Aam Aadmi Party killed the sub -inspector in the presence of the police. The police have registered a case against 20 people including the sarpanch in this case.
