On August 14th, 2024, the episode of Suhagan Chudail aired, bringing new twists to the storyline. The show opened with a heart-wrenching scene where Nishiganda informed Moksh that Deeya, his close friend, had passed away. Moksh was in deep denial and couldn’t come to terms with the reality. Nishiganda, with a heavy heart, tried to console Moksh, but he was too overwhelmed by grief. Moksh revealed to Nishiganda that Deeya was not just a childhood friend but also the love of his life, making the loss even more unbearable.
Nishiganda reminded Moksh of a past conversation where he had confessed his love for her. Moksh, however, explained that he had said those words out of fear. He believed that if Deeya took her own life, a curse would fall upon his family. Moksh blamed Nishiganda for Deeya’s tragic fate, holding her responsible for the loss. Raghunath, another character in the story, echoed Moksh’s sentiments, further blaming Nishiganda for the unfortunate events.
In the aftermath of Deeya’s death, tensions escalated within Moksh’s family. His aunt attempted to throw holy water, known as Gangajal, at Nishiganda, but she was startled when Nishiganda reacted defensively, struggling to suppress her darker, supernatural impulses. The family, already shaken, witnessed a meteorite falling from the sky, interpreting it as an ominous sign. The Shikawat family became convinced that as long as Nishiganda was around, they would continue to suffer misfortune. Overcome with anger and despair, Moksh threw Nishiganda out of the house, shutting the door in her face.
After being cast out, Nishiganda sought refuge in the Maha Asur Temple. To her shock, she discovered that the statue of Maha Asur, a powerful demon, was missing. Nishiganda confided in Vishtar, sharing her fears that although she had witnessed Maha Asur’s body being destroyed in an explosion, his remains were nowhere to be found. Vishtar speculated that Maha Asur might have hidden his body parts in a secret location, far from anyone’s reach.
The episode took a darker turn as a crow, under the influence of dark magic, hypnotized a person and led them to the hidden pieces of Maha Asur’s statue. The person then reassembled the statue, allowing Maha Asur to regain his strength. The demon, now back in human form, swore to take revenge on Nishiganda for her past actions.
Realizing the grave danger that Moksh was in, Nishiganda told Vishtar that Maha Asur would likely target Moksh to complete his transformation into a human. Moreover, Maha Asur needed the power of Deeya’s locket, which Moksh now possessed, to fully restore his strength. Despite the growing hatred between them, Nishiganda resolved to protect Moksh from Maha Asur’s wrath. When Vishtar questioned her determination, Nishiganda reminded him that Deeya, a mere human, had once defeated her. She vowed to use all her powers to keep Moksh safe.
The next day, the Shikawat family was still reeling from Deeya’s death. They noticed Moksh’s deep sorrow and wondered how he could have loved so deeply. Moksh’s aunt, filled with resentment, warned that Nishiganda, being a witch, would not leave them alone so easily. Raghunath, in an attempt to rid their lives of Nishiganda’s influence, suggested finding a priest to perform rituals that would ensure Nishiganda never returned.
Nishiganda, undeterred, returned to the Shikawat household. Moksh confronted her, accusing her of coming back to harm him. Nishiganda, however, insisted that she was his wife and intended to stay by his side. Despite Moksh’s attempts to drive her away, Nishiganda remained resolute, knowing that she had to be there to protect him and his family from the looming threat of Maha Asur.
In a surprising move, Nishiganda suggested that if Moksh truly wanted to break up with her, they should hold a break-up party. She then began to dance, creating a protective barrier around the house while doing so. Moksh, frustrated by her antics, turned off the music and challenged her to prove her commitment by taking blessings from the Goddess. Nishiganda hesitated, knowing that if she placed the traditional red powder, Chinri, on her forehead, it would burn her due to her supernatural nature.
As the episode came to a close, the scene set up the next chapter of the story, where Maha Asur, now in the guise of a holy man, approached Moksh’s home, setting the stage for further conflicts and dramatic confrontations.
