The Balearic Islands will have a total of 82 vans of the National Police where citizens can renew your ID or issue a passport In just ten minutes. They are called comprehensive documentation vehicles (Vidoc) and will be located at different parts of the islands, where They will serve Monday to Friday Ordinary.
Until now, the documentation update (PAD) points were exclusively at the National Police Police Stals. This forced to the citizens who resided in the municipalities that are not in the demarcation of the National Police to commute to carry out a procedure related to personal documentation.
Now, with these new vans, the Balearic population can get a document in just ten minutes. And with the Vidoc they will save go through the usual three procedures: one day for the footprint, one day for printing in a police station and one day for delivery.
Another novelty that these vans will contribute is the possibility of issuing passports, a document that until today was made only in the documentation units.
The service provided to patients and people with reduced mobility The previous care system will continue to be provided normally, in which police personnel move to the citizen’s place to make the ID.
It is worth mentioning that this action is part of the digital identity plan launched by the General Directorate of the Police. The acquisition of Vidoc vans have had a transformation cost of almost 15,000,000 euros financed by the European Union through the Next Generation Funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
