Hyderabad: A six -storey building under construction collapsed on Wednesday afternoon at Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana, in which several people were trapped and 2 people are being estimated to death. While the voices of a person are coming and efforts are on to save that person. Police reached the spot and started rescue operations with other departments. The incident took place in the afternoon in the Super Bazaar Kendra area of ​​the temple city of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

6 people are feared trapped in debris

It is not yet clear how many people are trapped in the debris. Local people believe that about six people may be stranded inside. Police, fire service, revenue and panchayat Raj departments are engaged in rescue operations.

Officials are collecting cranes and other heavy machinery to remove debris. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel have also been called to join the rescue operation. Senior police and municipal officials have reached the spot and are monitoring the rescue and relief operations.

The builder allegedly laid slabs for five floors on an old structure, where some people were already living. Officials suspect that the accident occurred due to flaws in the design and poor quality of construction. The owner was also building a temple next to the building and had also collected donations in the name of the trust. It is alleged that the owner started construction of the building without permission from the officials concerned.
