Error with expensive outcome: A senior loses control of his car and crashes into a van. The damage is immense.
Every car lover bleeds his heart: an 83-year-old senior scraped his Lamborghini Countach on the A27 near Bremerhaven on Saturday afternoon and now has to deal with immense damage to the vehicle.
The man was in the direction of Cuxhaven around 1:15 p.m. when he lost control of the classic car between the Bremerhaven overseas ports and Debstedt junctions and collided with a van. This was announced by a spokeswoman for the Cuxhaven police inspection in the evening.
According to the testimony, the 83-year-old was on the road at a speed of about 180 kilometers per hour when his vehicle got into the litter and initially collided with a van. The right front tire of the sports car burst and the 83-year-old drove against the guardrail with his classic car.
The van, where a sales trailer hung, could no longer be checked by the 65-year-old driver from Geestland and also joined the shhert plank. Both vehicles came to a standstill across the road, which led to a full closure of the highway.
Due to the collision, the driver of the van was slightly injured and taken to the hospital. The block lasted until 5.15 p.m. Both vehicles had to be towed and the road had to be cleaned due to the leaked company fluids. The damage to the Lamborghini is estimated at around 200,000 euros, while the damage to the van and trailer is around 5,000 euros, the police said.
