‘Chhava’ will be screened in Parliament

There will be a screening of the Hindi film ‘Chhava’ on the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj on Thursday at the Library Building Balayogi Auditorium of Parliament House. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister and MP will also attend this special screening. All the actors and crew members of the film are expected to attend this screening, including Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal, who plays Sambhaji Maharaj. The Prime Minister praised the film about a month ago, after which now ANI has again posted this video on his social media.

Prime Minister Modi while addressing the All India Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in the national capital on 21 February said, ‘This is Maharashtra and Mumbai which has given new height to Marathi and Hindi cinema. These days, Chhawa is making a splash all over the country. In this form, Sambhaji Maharaj’s valor is introduced from Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel. ‘ In December last year, the Prime Minister along with his cabinet colleagues attended the special screening of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ in Parliament.

Camp at box office

Since its release in theaters on 14 February this year, ‘Chhawa’ has been earning tremendous. Despite a big match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, people also went to theaters to watch Vicky Kaushal’s film in the sixth week. According to Caiknilk, ‘Chhava’ earned on Sunday increased by 31%, which earned Rs 4.8 crore and its total earnings in India increased to Rs 583.35 crore. The film has earned Rs 780 crore, out of which a collection of Rs 90.50 crore abroad.
