Farhan scored the fourth T20 century of this year

Sahibzada Farhan batted tremendously in the recently ended National T20 Cup. He scored three centuries in that tournament. This is the fourth T20 century of this year for Farhan, 29 years. He completed his century in just 49 balls. This is jointly fast century for Islamabad United in the history of PSL. Earlier, South Africa’s Cameron Delport scored a century in 49 balls against Lahore Kalandars in the 2019 edition.

Sahibzada Farhan equals Virat in this case

With this century, Farhan got his name recorded in the pages of history. He became the 5th player to score four T20 centuries in a year. Farhan has equaled Virat Kohli of India, Shubman Gill, Jose Butler of England and Chris Gayle of West Indies. The name of all this is the world record of scoring 4 T20 centuries in a year. He is the first batsman in Pakistan to achieve this feat. With this, he left behind Babur’s records. Babur scored three-three centuries in T20 in 2019 and 2023.

Thanks to Sahibzada Farhan’s century innings, Islamabad United scored 243 for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target of 244 runs, Peshawar Jalmi could not play even 20 overs and was all out after scoring 141 runs. All the batsmen, except Mohammad Harris, proved to be a flop on behalf of Peshawar Jalmi. Harris scored 87 runs in 47 balls. Peshawar captain Babar Azam continued to run just 1 run. Half his team had returned to the pavilion within 100 runs. In the end, Islamabad United handed over a big defeat to Peshawar Jalmi by 102 runs.
