Bavaria’s advice centers against discrimination warn of one of their offer and demand money from the Free State. “At the moment it is the case that the anti -discrimination sites are in front of that,” said the President of the Bavarian Youth Ring (BJR), Philipp Seitz. “We don’t know how it will continue from 2026.”
Because the federal funding that has existed since 2023 only until the end of January 2026, there is a risk that the advice centers would have to close, the BJR and other support projects said. They ask the state government to close the impending funding gap and cover the costs should not be extended – as it currently looks – the funding of the federal government.
At least 1.5 million euros, better 10
According to the BJR, the BJR receives the federal government in order to operate the advice center. How much money it is with the other carriers did not say. According to their information, a total of at least 1.5 million euros would be used across Bavaria to continue working as before. The topics include discrimination against offices, at work or when looking for an apartment for racist, sexist reasons or other reasons.
In addition to money, the sponsors also demand the establishment of a nationwide anti -discrimination site, as it already has in other federal states. The mayors of Augsburg, Regensburg, Erlangen and Nuremberg had already spoken out for this last year.
Desire for a “common, Bavarian path”
In the four cities as well as in Munich and Ingolstadt, there has been such a consultation on the urban level for several years, the municipalities announced on the subject after a conference. But you want a “common, Bavarian path”.
According to the Bavarian Ministry of Social Affairs from last year, there were no plans for a nationwide anti -discrimination agency. There are already Bavarian contact points. In addition, one could contact the federal government or to the municipal offers.
