RCB vs PBKS: Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by five wickets on Friday in a 14 -over match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) on the basis of the bowlers’ brilliant performance. This is RCB’s third consecutive defeat in his home. After losing the toss, RCB’s Laj Tim David rescued it. He coincidentally completed his unbeaten half -century and took the team’s score to 95 runs. Otherwise, this team was going to be dismissed on the shortest score in IPL history, which is already in his name. Despite Tim David’s efforts, RCB’s team could only manage 95 runs for nine wickets. Punjab Kings won by scoring 98 runs at the loss of five wickets in 12.1 overs. RCB Lost a Hat-TRICK At Home Punjab Kings Bowlers Silenced Them

Punjab at number two in the points table after this victory

This is Punjab’s fifth win in seven matches and the team has reached second place in the table with 10 points. RCB is fourth in seven matches with eight points. For Punjab, Nehal Vadhera scored 33 runs in an unbeaten innings of 19 balls with the help of three sixes and the same fours. Hazlewood was the most successful bowler of RCB, he took three wickets for 14 runs while Bhuvneshwar Kumar got two successes. Due to rain and drizzle, the match started at 9:45 pm with a delay of two and a half hours and Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer did not hesitate to bowl first.

Punjab bowlers did wonders

In front of the pressure to score fast and the clever bowling of Punjab Kings, the RCB team continued to lose wickets at intervals. Amid the fall of wickets, David scored five fours and three sixes in an unbeaten innings of 26 balls. He shared an unwavering 32 -run partnership with Hazlewood for the last wicket with Hazlewood. ‘Player of the Match’ David brought the score of the hat -trick team to 90 runs against Harpreet Brar in the last over. Apart from David, only captain Rajat Patidar (23 runs off 18 balls) could score in the double figure.

All bowlers showed amazing charisma

For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh, Marco Yansen, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harpreet Brar took two each while Xavier Bartlet took one wicket. Chahal and Yansen were quite economical. In three overs, he gave 11 and 10 runs respectively in their respective quota. Chasing the target, Priyansh Arya (16) hit Yash Dayal and Prabhasimran Singh (13) hit fours against Bhubaneswar. Prabhasimran, however, was caught by a celestial shot off the ball of Bhubaneswar and caught David. Arya sent Hazlewood’s ball to the audience in the next over. After these two tremors, the Punjab batsmen adopted a cautious attitude but English reduced the pressure against Krunal Pandya with two consecutive fours.

Hazlewood increased tension by dismissing Shreyas and English

Hazelwood increased the trouble of Punjab’s camp by dismissing captain Shreyas Iyer (seven) and English inside three balls in the eighth over. Vadhera, who came to the crease, was hit by Suyash Sharma on the first four balls, but this blank batsman got confidence by hitting a four on the last two balls and welcomed him in the next over and made the match away from RCB’s grip. Bhubaneswar showed Shashank Singh (one) the path of the pavilion, but Vadhera confirmed the victory of a six and four root team against him. Earlier, Phil Salt (04) welcomed Arshdeep on the first ball of the innings and again in the process of playing a big shot, the ball sat in the air and wicketkeeper English made no mistake in catching the catch.
