The events of August 26, 2024, mark a day of heightened tension in the Maheswari household. It all began when Rajeshwari suggested that Sagar and Koel should get married. This unexpected proposal left everyone in shock. Sagar, taken aback, questioned Rajeshwari’s decision. Rajeshwari, however, stood firm, claiming she wanted to fulfill his wishes. Saraswati reminded Rajeshwari of her earlier words, where she had stated that once Sagar and Jahnvi grew up, their opinions should be respected. Rajeshwari agreed, but the damage was done.

Lolly, another family member, asked for Sagar and Koel’s opinions on the matter. Both of them were against Rajeshwari’s decision. Seeing their discontent, Saraswati and Digvijay urged Rajeshwari to accept Sagar and Koel’s wishes, as both were clearly unhappy. This turn of events upset Mayuri, who was displeased with Koel. Meanwhile, Vedika overheard everything but assured herself that Sagar’s decision wouldn’t affect her.
Sagar, frustrated and disillusioned, declared to his family that he no longer believed in love and had no intention of marrying anyone. He then left the room, sensing Vedika’s presence nearby. However, when he looked around, he found no one, so he went inside. Vedika, who had been hiding, emerged from her spot, determined to expose the Maheswaris.
Rajeshwari, feeling disrespected by her family, put on an act of being hurt and went inside, leaving Saraswati saddened. Saraswati then confided in Koel her desire to perform Gautam’s last rites since Jahnvi, the real one, had returned, even though Yamini had not come back to them. At this point, Vedika entered and suggested to Saraswati that they could perform the rites. Koel, however, reacted angrily, but Vedika warned her to stay within her limits. Vedika then requested a private conversation with Saraswati, who sent Koel inside.
During their conversation, Vedika revealed an important clue to Saraswati: the truck’s cleaner, who was alive and could potentially identify the person responsible for Gautam’s death. Saraswati, filled with hope and emotion, held Vedika’s hand but quickly pulled back, expressing her disbelief in Vedika’s words. Though hurt, Vedika assured Saraswati that she would eventually uncover the truth, then left.
Meanwhile, an argument broke out between Sagar and Koel, with both expressing their dislike for each other. Mayuri tried to manipulate Sagar into marrying Koel, but Sagar refused. After he left, Mayuri advised Koel to marry Sagar to get back at Vedika, but Koel also refused. Rajeshwari later confided in Digvijay her true motive behind arranging Sagar and Koel’s marriage.
Later, Vedika mocked Sagar about his impending marriage to Koel. Sagar, irritated, questioned her about why she was at his house. Vedika responded that she was there to meet Saraswati, her client. When Sagar pressed her for updates on the case, Vedika refused to share any details, further frustrating Sagar. In retaliation, Sagar cut the power supply to Vedika’s workstation, which upset her.
At the same time, Saraswati shared her memories of Gautam with Koel, making Koel emotional. In the office, Sagar was surprised by Vedika’s calm demeanor despite his attempts to trouble her. He even instructed Rishi not to serve Vedika any sweets containing cashews, knowing she was allergic. Vedika, however, remained unfazed, stating that she didn’t need to prove anything to Sagar. Before Saraswati and Koel could perform Gautam’s last rites, Vedika unexpectedly joined them, leaving both women in shock.
