In an exciting announcement today, PUBG Mobile revealed a new collaboration with the popular anime series Dragon Ball Super. Starting on June 7th, players will experience a unique fusion of PUBG’s battle royale gameplay with elements from Dragon Ball Super. This collaboration is part of PUBG Mobile’s Version 2.7 update, which promises to introduce a variety of new features and content inspired by the beloved anime series.

What to Expect from the Collaboration
The collaboration will feature two special Dragon Ball Super modes that bring new gameplay elements and iconic characters to the battlegrounds. These modes will be available from July 13 to September 4. Players can collect Dragon Balls, summon Shenron, and receive powerful in-game bonuses. The battlegrounds will also transform, incorporating iconic locations such as Dragon Ball Village, Tenkaichi Budokai, Kame House, and Karin Tower.
Iconic Characters and Unique Abilities
Players will be able to take on the roles of iconic Dragon Ball Super characters, including Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo, and Ultimate Gohan. Each character comes with unique abilities and attacks that add a new layer of strategy to the game. For example, Goku can perform a high-speed dash to dodge attacks, while Vegeta can unleash powerful Kai blasts. Frieza, known for his mid-range attacks, and Piccolo, who excels in long-range energy waves, offer diverse playstyles for players to explore.

New Game Features
The collaboration will introduce several new game features. Players can summon Shenron by collecting seven Dragon Balls, similar to the anime. This action will grant them special bonuses. Additionally, players can explore new areas and use items like the Hoipoi Capsule, which transforms into a three-seater Air Car. The update will also include a “Ki” energy system, allowing players to use iconic attacks like the Kamehameha beam and Buku-jutsu for flying.
Thematic Maps and Challenges
The game will feature a new anime-style map, enhancing the visual experience for players. This map will include spirit crystals that players can collect to upgrade their character’s abilities. Additionally, teleportation portals and blue glowing circles will be strategically placed around the map, enabling quick movement and tactical advantages during battles. The update also promises various challenges, such as protecting the Shenron Summoning Altar from other teams while collecting Dragon Balls.
Special Items and Rewards
From July 14, players can look forward to Dragon Ball Super-themed attire and accessories, including outfits for Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Pilaf, and Karin. There will also be special in-game events offering exclusive rewards, such as the “Kamesennin Style Set.” PUBG Mobile is also planning to announce a future collaboration with a British luxury automobile brand, adding more excitement to the game.
Gameplay Enhancements
The Version 2.7 update will bring several gameplay improvements across all maps. This includes the addition of the ACE32 assault rifle and updates to the World of Wonder creative mode. The new Royale Pass Ace will offer fresh rewards and season missions, and the Cycle 5 Season 13 will include new content and cosmetics for players to enjoy.
