Srinagar: When the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah reached the police control room of Srinagar to pay tribute to those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, the whole atmosphere there was torrential. Shah left for Basaron, about 110 km from Srinagar, after offering a wreath at a condolence ceremony held at the police control room here to pay tribute to those killed in the terrorist attack. Terrorists attacked tourists in Barsan itself. Amit Shah took complete information about the incident from the security officers and inspected the spot.
26 tourists killed in terrorist attack
Militants attacked a major tourist destination in Pahalgam, South Kashmir on Tuesday, killing at least 26 people and injuring several others. Most of them were tourists. Shah arrived here on Tuesday night within a few hours of the attack and Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat informed about the situation. The Home Minister also presided over a security review meeting, in which the Lieutenant Governor also attended.
