Pahalgam terror attack: India’s another action against Pakistan, PAK government’s X account suspended

New Delhi: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the official X (East Twitter) account of the Government of India in India has been shut down in the midst of increased tension between the two countries. The step has been taken after suspending the Indus Water Treaty and expelting senior Pakistani diplomatic staff.

This diplomatic decision came under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi a day after the Cabinet Committee (CCS) meeting on security. The meeting was called to determine India’s response to the attack on 23 April in Pahalgam.

India has taken these decisions against Pakistan so far

In a press conference on Wednesday evening, Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt said that the number of personnel in the Pakistani High Commission in India will be reduced from 55 to 30. India has also expelled all defense, Navy and air advisors from the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi. These individuals have been declared an unwanted person and they have been instructed to leave the country within a week. Similarly, India will call back its military advisors from its High Commission in Islamabad. Five assistant employees assigned to service advisors in both the missions will also be called back.

India has also suspended the SAARC Visa exemption scheme for Pakistani citizens. All the current visas issued to Pakistani citizens have been canceled with immediate effect. The CCS also ordered the immediate closure of the integrated check post in the attic, which is the only current land border crossing between India and Pakistan. Pakistani citizens entering India with valid documents may return before the May 1 deadline.

Pakistan is going to hold a big meeting today

At the same time, in response to India’s actions, Pakistan is holding a high -level security meeting on Thursday to prepare a proper response to India’s move to suspend the Indus Water Treaty and reduce diplomatic relations. According to Radio Pakistan report, the meeting will include the three army chiefs and important ministers. Explain that 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, out of which 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali citizens were involved.
