New Delhi: After the terrorist attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called a high-level meeting in Delhi. Major officers of the army and intelligence were present in this meeting. The meeting and security arrangements after the attack were reviewed. After the meeting, Amit Shah left for Kashmir.
“Will take strict action against criminals”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “I am saddened by the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. My condolences are with the family members of the deceased. The people involved in this heinous terrorist attack will not be spared. We will take strict action against the criminals and punish them strictly.
Terrorists have targeted a group of tourists in Besrana area of Pahalgam. So far, 12 tourists have been reported injured in this attack. At the same time, a tourist has also died. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital in Anantnag. After this incident, the security forces have started search operation in the area. The terrorists opened fire for about 3 to 5 minutes and then escaped from there.
Operation started against terrorists
The operation has been started by the SOG and CRPF of the Indian Army Victor Force and Special Force, Jammu and Kashmir Police. Army personnel and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel are present at the scene. Army officials are also trying to get more information. According to the information, 15 core commander of the army, Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, has reached the spot by helicopter. The Indian Army’s Victor Force personnel have reached the top of the valley to search for terrorists. The operation has started against the terrorists.
“Religion asked and then shot”
The eyewitness of this terrorist attack was told by a female tourist that the terrorists first asked the people their name and religion and then shot them. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, a woman called PCR, she told that 6-7 tourists were shot. He told that a terrorist fired. The terrorists shot the person by asking religion. Looked at the wife’s hand, then the husband has been shot and shot.
