Before the shops open in Hamburg’s overseas quarters, the port of the Lumières art show shows the Klimt and Hundertwasser. Nice – but that doesn’t matter to the originals.

That in Hamburg The art comes before the commerce is a nice surprise. You would expect other things from a port and trading city. Now one of the new buildings in Westfield Hamburg-Übersekartier opened its doors, which is a huge shopping and entertainment area in HafenCity. But it was not lured with goods, but with works of art. Even before the Fast food and Fast fashion branches open next Tuesday, the port of the Lumières recharged has received a first tour.
