The issue of divorce of Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma has reached the court. Both had filed for divorce and want the court to pronounce the verdict as soon as possible. On this, the Family Court had already asked to complete the statutory cooling-off period for the divorce of cricketers Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma under the Hindu Marriage Act, but the Family Court’s decision has now been overturned by the Bombay High Court and ordered to pronounce the verdict on Thursday.
What is the whole matter
Under the Hindu Marriage Act, there is a legal cooling-off period for divorce. Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma had requested the Family Court to remove it, but the family court rejected it from being forgiven. After this, the case reached Bombay High Court where new orders have been given. A bench of Justice Madhav Jamdar has also directed the Family Court to decide on a divorce petition till tomorrow, keeping in mind Chahal’s upcoming IPL participation. Both Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma approached the High Court and Justice Jamdar listened to his lawyer before passing the instructions.
Hearing will be held on this day
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree were married in December 2020. However, both have been living separately for the last few months. According to media reports, both of them had filed a divorce application with mutual consent this year. Along with this, he had also demanded exemption from six months of mandatory cooling period. Now, the High Court has overturned this decision and has cleared the way for the divorce process to be completed soon. The case will be heard on 20 March 2025. It is expected that the relationship between the two will be decided tomorrow.

Amidst the reports of divorce, Yuzvendra Chahal’s name has started joining RJ Mahwish. Claims are being made that a new relationship between the two is starting. The two are also being spotted several times in a row. With the beginning of this year, discussions of closeness between the two started when they were spotted outside a hotel together. The two also performed Christmas celebrations together. Now recently, Champions Trophy Fine Match also appeared to be cheering the two together.
