Balasore: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh to the family of Prashant Satpathy, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The Chief Minister made this announcement after paying a wreath on the body of Satpathy in Ishani village in Remuna block of Balasore district.
Prashant’s wife became unhappy while talking
Majhi said that the state government will give a job to Priya Darshani Acharya, wife of Satpathy and will also bear the expenses of his nine -year -old son Tanuj. He told reporters, “I strongly condemn the incident. The state government is standing firmly with Prashant Satpathy’s family in this hour. He will be provided a assistance of Rs 20 lakh and the wife will take full attention to the job and son’s education to the wife.” The Chief Minister also expressed concern about Priya Darshani’s health, who fainted during her conversation.
Shot in front of wife-son
Let me tell you that Prashant Satpathy, a resident of Odisha, who lost his life in front of his wife and 9 -year -old son in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, went on a trip to Kashmir for months and was very excited about it. Prashant’s elder brother Sushant said that after hearing the news of Prashant’s death, the mother could not speak anything due to shock. Prashant went to Kashmir for holidays
The 40 -year -old Prashant, who was working as an accounting assistant at the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET) located in Balasore district of Odisha, went to Kashmir for a holiday with his wife and son. Prashant’s wife Priyadarshini Acharya said, “When we were getting off the ropeway in Basaron, Prashant was shot in the head … He fell there. The army came after an hour.” Priyadarshini, her son Tanuj Kumar Satpathy and Prashant’s three relatives reached Srinagar after hearing the news of the attack. (With language inputs)
