In the “Account’s” series, we regularly present people who tell how much they earn, for which they spend their money – and how much they put on their side every month. Here DOORTJE AHLERS, 48, who works in a dairy and is milk botin.
Profession: I have been an employee at a organic farm with a dairy for around a year. A really idyllic farm, as you imagine: where the calves still live together with the mother animals, where fruit trees are in rows in the Knicks, so that different varieties come on the field and no monocultures arise. Knicks, for those who do not know the term, are the separation trenches between fields. Among other things, I help with the production of cream cheese, work in the farm shop and bring our customers fresh milk home or to the company. After half a life in more or less boring office jobs, I finally found my calling here.
