If you want to achieve many recipients with a message in WhatsApp, you can use the Broadcast function. Now the messenger wants to restrict the function.
The popular chat service WhatsApp is working on a function that is intended to limit the shipping of Broadcast messages. This is reported by the blog “Wabtainfo”, citing a test version of the messenger. The aim of the function is to make the mass shipping of messages more transparent and contain spam messages.
According to this, users could only send a limited number of messages per month via the Broadcast function in the future. At the end of a month, the news quota will be reset to zero.
It is also planned that users should receive information about their remaining contingent of messages both in the settings and directly in the Broadcast chats. In the chats, a note attached above should show how many messages have already been sent. An exact upper limit for broadcast messages is not yet known.
It is also unclear whether WhatsApp publishes the function for all users. The innovation has discovered “Wabtainfo” in the current beta version 2.25.10.8 of the Android app.
With Broadcast lists, WhatsApp users can reach a large group of users to invite them to a party or to distribute a new telephone number to all contacts.
The advantage: the user does not have to start a group or write each message individually. In addition, the recipients can only answer the sender, not everyone else. In this article, we will show you how to use the Broadcast function under Android. The procedure is similar under iOS.
