On August 6, 2024, tensions reached a boiling point in the latest episode of the popular drama series, Mangal Lakshmi. The episode began with Mangal suggesting that Karthik and Lakshmi should take a turn on the swing to lift everyone’s spirits. However, Lakshmi insisted that Mangal needed to rest instead. Sanjana and Kusum joined in, urging Karthik and Lakshmi to follow Mangal’s suggestion to cheer her up.
Reluctantly, Karthik placed Lakshmi on the swing and began to push. Amidst this, Gayatri told Kusum she had urgent business to attend to and needed to leave. Karthik agreed that they should all leave to let Mangal rest, and Kusum concurred. As Gayatri’s family departed, Karthik confronted her. He questioned her decision to punish Lakshmi and prevent her from visiting Mangal.
Gayatri defended her actions, stating that every time Lakshmi visited Mangal, it caused arguments within the family. She accused Lakshmi of being overly suspicious and mentioned that Mangal had insulted Karthik because of her. Karthik admitted he had provoked Mangal and didn’t mind the insult. He pleaded with Gayatri to allow Lakshmi to see Mangal, but Gayatri remained silent.
Back at home, Kusum was seen managing the household chores alone, also taking care of Mangal. Mangal felt guilty watching Kusum work so hard. In another scene, Akshat, with Ishana’s help, made a get-well-soon card for Mangal. Mangal, in a playful mood, teased Akshat about a mistake in the card, causing him to leave in a huff.
Mangal tried to reassure Ishana that she would recover soon and urged her not to worry. Attempting to prove her point, Mangal tried to stand up but failed. Adit scolded her, accusing her of risking further injury to extend her rest period. Mangal explained that she only wanted to show Ishana that she would be able to dance with her soon. Ishana remarked that Mangal always managed to get scolded.
Mangal confided in herself that Lakshmi was the only one who truly understood her. Meanwhile, Lakshmi also longed to talk to Mangal but didn’t want to cause her any trouble.
The following day, Mangal ventured into the kitchen in her wheelchair, attempting to cook but struggled to reach the ingredients on the upper shelf. Kusum noticed and advised Mangal to rest.
Elsewhere, Lakshmi brought bed coffee to Karthik, but he remained silent, upset with her for not confiding in him. Later, Karthik addressed the issue with Lakshmi, urging her to share any problems she faced. Lakshmi explained that, as the daughter-in-law, Gayatri had different expectations from her compared to Karthik, who was the son of the house. Lakshmi asked what she could do if Gayatri forbade her from speaking to Mangal. Overhearing this, Gayatri believed that Lakshmi was trying to turn Karthik against her.
As the episode concluded, Kusum put Mangal to bed and left the room. Adit entered, searching for his belongings. Mangal informed him of their whereabouts, but Adit lashed out, frustrated that his things weren’t organized in one place. The episode ended on a tense note, leaving viewers eager to see how the family dynamics would unfold.
